Victor Arwas
www.victorarwas.comVictor Arwas (1937–2010) was one of the world's leading authorities on Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and the decorative arts of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. An internationally respected scholar, author, collector, dealer, and curator, he wrote more than twenty books, including the landmark studies Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Art Deco Sculpture, and Glass: Art Nouveau to Art Deco, several of which remain the standard references in their field. Arwas lectured extensively, appeared regularly on television and radio, organised major international exhibitions, and advised museums and private collectors worldwide. Through his London gallery, Editions Graphiques, he played a significant role in shaping important public and private collections, helping to establish many of the artists and movements that are now recognised as central to the history of the decorative arts.
